Hi,
Some of you may also be interested in the New Australian Lightning Detection Network Currently being rolled out across Australia/Tasmania.
The more coverage they get the better the Network will be and these guys have heaps more plans on the drawing board. They have developed a brilliant product here in Australia so please take a look : http://microsferics.com/Microsferics. If you contact them : http://microsferics.com/index.php/Contact, they will send you a comprehensive pdf all about this new network and the technology behind it.
Mine has arrived and now awaiting the network to come online along with more users to make it more accurate.

Kind Regards,

What was the cost of joining?  Do they supply everything?

I got emailled the PDF, but haven't hear anything since.
Maybe me telling them that I'm cash strapped put them off haha.

Hi there, I'm David from Microsferics

Yes we do supply everything, the kit which is plug and play is compatible with the Boltek lightning detectors.
At this time having one of the Boltek setups is a pre requisite.

Were beginning the next production run for the Australian roll out shortly, awaiting on parts to be delivered.
These kits are made here in Sydney.

Once Stock is on hand the rollout can begin. The main issues Australia faces is that there are not that many users of Boltek systems so this needs to be taken into account.

David.

Thanks David. I currently don't have any lightning detectors and thought this might be a good way to start
